Cruise ships are sailing for days with large number of staff, passengers and crew. Hence having a proper store of necessary provisions is highly necessary. Most of them keep adequate food materials in store before they set out for a sale.
Cruise ships sometimes have more than one owner. There are ships with multiple identities. Cruise ships are used for various purposes. In cases of special occasions, when there is a lack of proper hotel facility, cruise ships are found to be of use. This has happened several times in history.
Cruise ships are dominated in the European companies. They have three large markets here. Apart from this, there are shipyards making large number of cruise liners. Still then the number will not reach that of the European companies. The old ocean liners still continued to be used as cruise ships. The only ship built by United States is The Emerald and it is still sailing. There is a large base of American clients for cruise liners. Smaller cruise ships are not as luxurious as ordinary ones sailing in oceans.
